      MassAIMH is a member of the growing Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health. The Alliance is a newly forming, formal, global organization that includes those states and countries whose infant mental health (IMH) associations have licensed the use of the Competency Guidelines and Endorsement for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship-focused Practice Promoting Infant Mental Health® from the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health (MI-AIMH).

       MassAIMH endorses the Diversity-Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children and Families (Tenets). We commit to our journey to embed diversity, equity, and inclusion principles into our work with infants, children, and families and to integrate the Tenets in our efforts to support and strengthen the IECMH workforce across the state.

We strive to:

  • Cite, discuss, and apply the Tenets in their full format;
  • Engage and participate in the Tenets workshop;
  • Have leadership committed to learning and apply the Tenets; and,
  • Develop an organizational strategy to apply the Tenets

Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children and MassAIMH are proud to announce a collaboration to strengthen and build upon a diverse workforce supporting young children and families through the adoption of the Michigan Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Endorsement® System.

Endorsement®  serves as one of the first and most comprehensive efforts in the country to define best practice and guide professional growth at multiple levels and across disciplines in the field of infant and early childhood mental health.  Endorsement® promotes culturally sensitive, relationship-focused practice and is supported nationally by the Alliance for the Advancement of Infant Mental Health.
